Adansonia is a genus of deciduous trees known as Baobabs. They are native to the regions of Madagascar and mainland Africa. The Baobab is also known as the “upside down tree”, a name that originates from several myths. The fruit has a velvety shell, the fresh fruit is said to taste like sorbet, with an acidic, tart, citrus flavor.
